Greetings for 2013 from EUNIC London
Dear Friends of EUNIC London,
Let me begin by wishing you Happy New Year and a much more creative and exciting 2013.
May you overcome all the restrains to come and continue to serve culture and creativity in the same exemplary way!
Looking back to 2012, I believe we can aptly conclude that it was, for our EUNIC London team, a year of significant achievements and inspiring projects. Through us, Europe – as a model of cooperation, a sentiment, maybe even a style - was present on the London cultural scene in an interesting and distinguished way.
I would like to thank all our members, the EU Commission Representation in the UK and all our crucial partners in the UK and in Europe for their support, involvement, effort, ideas, and commitment to the success of EUNIC London.
When I think of 2012, I think of several projects that not only generated a lot of interest and even enthusiasm, but also received, to our benefit, a flattering press coverage:
· Ready Steady Doc! showcased sport documentaries from all over Europe and an amazing line-up of sport celebrities in preparation of the Olympics
· European Literature Night IV presented some of the brightest literary talent from Europe to audiences and readers at the British Library and on tour across the UK
· EUNIC London Cultural Diplomacy Conference 2012 brought together diplomats, cultural managers, artists, experts, and academics to reflect on key issues and aspects of cultural diplomacy
· Inspired by Debussy commissioned and presented the work of emerging European composers at Kings Place, London
Of course, a cluster is no more than its common projects. We feel that now more than even our work has become extremely relevant, and we are devoted to continue all initiatives that constitute the identity of our cluster, the biggest in the world.
At the same time, we aim at designing and producing EUNIC London new European projects in Film, Theatre & Dance, Music Technology for the UK scene.

With very best wishes and renewed optimism,
Dorian Branea
